Aarhundred box
A square box, with rounded corners, decorated with old black and white photographs. A pastel illustrated background mix, using the cover of an old illustrated music sheet from the 50´s.

Inside the lid there is also a surprise piece and a little cushion in the bottom of the box.

Princess box
I named this jewellery box, the princess, but it could very well have been called the angel box, because there is an "angel" with wings from a piece of jewellery, on the inside lid. It has a romantic golden age theme.

Inside there are six separate compartments, to keep jewellery separate.

Fireworks box
I named it the fireworks box, as I found a lovely illustration of fireworks to use as the dominant feature.

Around the explosion of warm colours, the pale nude lounges sedately, unaffected by the chaos around her!

Revolution box
I found some lovely black and white etchings about the french revolution from various sources and for a colourful contrast used a child´s drawing from the fifties as the background.

The two types of expression have a fun appeal.

Clown box
The sad pjerrot stares out at us, he doesn´t at all look happy, yet neither is he sad!

This portrait by Watteaux reminds me of the intimate relationship of observing and being observed. Today we have a world of surveillance in which we can´t see who is observing us and what it will be used for!

Virgin and child box
The icon of the mother and child is universal.

Here I have placed these two serene figures with celtic design borders.

Inside there is a happy wedding theme going on. I can nearly hear the angelic music! Six separate compartments inside for keeping jewellery.
